The dataset “Antares Study dataset – TYNDP 2024”, edited by Thomas Heggarty, is now openly available on Zenodo. Inspired by a scenario from the Ten-Year Network Development Plan published by ENTSO-E, this simplified case study is designed to facilitate getting started with the open-source Antares software for European applications (TSOs, industry, research). Based on the “National Trends 2040” scenario, it provides a representative educational framework — including a simplified modelling of the hydrogen system — whose results should not be used for policy recommendations.
This dataset is fully aligned with the PlaneTerr initiative: integrating new models into an open tool for multi-energy simulation and planning, covering all energy carriers and coupling operation with investment.
PlaneTerr relies on the Antares software developed by RTE, enabling prospective supply–demand balance studies using a multi-scenario approach.
